Learner Development
2. Create developmentally appropriate instruction that enables learners to advance and accelerate their learning.
Over the course of the last year I have made many lesson plans. Below are some examples of the plans I made. Each lesson plan was in anticipation of AZ Merits and aligned with AZ Readiness Standards. Included below are some lessons in ELA, Social Studies, and Art. Each lesson was tailored to the classroom I was working with at the time.

Since I am currently in a GATE cluster class many of my students are very high achievers and work very fast. For this reason, having appropriate extensions was always necessary for the students. Often times those extensions were having students write about something they learned. For example, I had the students read an article out of Time For Kids. This article was about whether or not students should have homework over breaks. We went over their own opinions of the article and had them write about it in an OREO model. The students who were able to finish this in time wrote it up and then were able to type it up and I edited for them.
I also made a lesson that was designed to help out ELL students within the classroom. I used many graphic organizers and other SIOP strategies in order to engage and help the content be more accessible for these students. It is important to differentiate these lessons, in order to help out students who may be struggling. The SIOP strategies not only work for ELL students, but also students who are falling behind.
